John Walter Hill

John Walter Hill is a professor of musicology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Musicological Society from 1984 until 1986 and serves on a number of international boards and committees. He is the author of many articles and books, including The Life and Works of Francesco Maria Veracini, Vivaldi’s Ottone in villa: A Study in Musical Drama, and Roman Monody, Cantata, and Opera from the Circles around Cardinal Montalto, 2 vols..
